like tetris, but there is just a conglomeration of pieces floating around in free space. stars in the background.

every piece has inertia.

you are a gun that shoots pieces, you don't choose the pieces.

you can change direction of the gun and accelerate and decelerate your vehicle in space.

when you shoot a piece, your vehicle also gets pushed back a little.

pieces stick to each other like magnets, but each individual segment of a tetris piece is a magnet, so they always stick in ways that are logical for tetris.

the entire conglomerationof pieces can have inertia and rotational vel's just like the pieces can.

there are water goblets in space (or maybe it's raining?) and the idea is to trap as much water within 'holes' in the structure you create by shooting pieces at the conglomeration in certain directions.

if a piece misses the conglomeration it just keeps whizzing along.

you get a limited number of pieces, when you run out it counts how much water you stored.

the pieces shoot out fairly fast, and shooting a piece out *can* disrupt the positions of other pieces in the conglomeration.

problem: how to simulate water? would require particle simulation
